By MUHARRAQ: In a powerful demonstration of national solidarity, the residents of Muharraq have expressed their unwavering loyalty and belonging to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. During a meeting of the Muharraq Governorate Council held on Wednesday, Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al-Mannai, speaking on behalf of the entire governorate, emphasized that the people stand united behind the wise leadership in preserving the nation’s hard-won gains.
The assembly voiced full support for the government’s implementation of royal directives aimed at safeguarding national stability. This includes taking necessary measures against individuals who attempt to compromise the country’s security or betray the nation, as well as conducting a rigorous review of those who deserve the honor of Bahraini citizenship. The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Brigadier Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Ghatam, Municipal Council Chairman Abdulaziz Al-Naar, and other prominent local dignitaries.
Beyond security matters, the council celebrated the recent victory of the Muharraq Sports Club in His Majesty the King’s Football Cup. Residents noted that the massive public attendance at the event reflected the deep-seated patriotic spirit of the community. They highlighted that such championships are vital national events that enjoy the direct patronage of His Majesty, further consolidating Bahrain’s status in the regional sporting arena.
The meeting also featured significant contributions regarding defense and culture. Dr. Hassan Kamal expressed deep appreciation for the readiness and efficiency shown by the Bahrain Defense Force, the National Guard, and security personnel in maintaining peace during recent external threats. On the cultural front, Al-Jazira Cultural Center Chairman Mohammed Al-Jazaf suggested the development of a comprehensive year-round guide to Muharraq’s archaeological and tourist sites to enhance the governorate’s cultural footprint. The session concluded on a heartwarming note as the Governor honored young Youssef Ahmed Al-Buainain, whose viral expression of love for his home club was praised as a testament to the enduring loyalty passed down through generations.
