MANAMA: During the weekly majlis hosted by His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, a collective of prominent dignitaries, businessmen, and residents voiced their firm support for recent sovereign decisions aimed at protecting the nation’s security. The council members affirmed their full backing for the decision to revoke the citizenship of individuals involved in activities harmful to the state, praising the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the diligent follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The attendees emphasized that maintaining the security and unity of the homeland remains a non-negotiable priority. They noted that the legal and sovereign measures taken reflect a national approach rooted in the rule of law, confirming that the honor of citizenship is inextricably linked to sincere loyalty and true belonging to the leadership. Mr. Nasser Al-Arayedh stated that current regional challenges require firm stances against anyone attempting to weaken national unity, while Mr. Talal Al-Mannai highlighted that the decision serves as a clear message that the honor of citizenship cannot coexist with betrayal or sympathy toward those targeting the nation’s stability.
Furthermore, Mr. Saeed Al-Alawi pointed out that the Kingdom’s commitment to the rule of law ensures that no party can exploit the regional atmosphere to harm the higher interests of the state. Adding to this sentiment, Mr. Abdulrahman Boumajid noted that citizenship is more than just a document; it is a moral responsibility toward the land and society, stressing that loyalty to Bahrain does not accept duplicity or hesitation. The Governor concluded the session by noting that Bahraini society remains united behind its leadership, defending authentic values and ensuring that the Kingdom’s resources are preserved for future generations through a comprehensive development process.
