MANAMA, BAHRAIN — The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF Bahrain), in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Bahrain Chapter, hosted an interactive financial literacy workshop aimed at empowering low-income women with key skills for personal financial management.

The session took place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the ICRF headquarters, drawing active participation from over 25 female domestic workers residing in the Kingdom.
Designed to enhance financial vigilance, the workshop provided crucial education on identifying fraudulent telephone calls, avoiding predatory loan sharks, recognizing common financial scams, and understanding the grave risks associated with sharing confidential personal or banking details. Participants were equipped with practical toolkits and preventive strategies to safeguard their assets and make sound, informed financial choices.

Organizers highlighted that the initiative forms part of an ongoing community outreach effort to foster financial literacy, helping vulnerable community members navigate their personal finances safely and responsibly.
