Expatriate Association Organises Blood Donation Drive

MANAMA: A blood donation drive was organised by the Bahrain Navakerala Manama Regional Committee at the Salmaniya Medical Centre Blood Bank. Over 70 donors participated in the camp, which was held from 7am to 12pm.

The event was inaugurated by Indian School Executive Committee Member Midhun Mohan. Speaking at the inauguration, he highlighted the importance of blood donation, stating that every drop donated offers new hope for patients in critical condition and those suffering from severe accidents. He praised the organisation’s ongoing humanitarian efforts.

The function was presided over by Navakerala Manama Regional President Anu Yousaf, with Regional Secretary Manoj Krishnan delivering the welcome address. Greetings and felicitation speeches were delivered by Coordination Secretary Jacob Mathew, Navakerala Central Patron Shaji Moothala, Central Secretary Rajakrishnan, Coordination Assistant Secretary Sunil Das, Manama Regional Patron Ashraf Kurutholayil, Central Treasurer Shahjahan Karuvannur, Joint Convenor Prashanth Maniyath, and Sreejith Avala.

Convenor Jalvin Johnson expressed gratitude to the donors and participants during the vote of thanks. Members of the coordination and executive committees joined hands with the Manama Regional Committee to oversee the logistics and ensure the smooth execution of the camp.
