MANAMA, Bahrain — The Bahrain Kerala Social Forum (BKSF) hosted a farewell ceremony for Deepak Thanal, a popular stage and mini-screen mimicry artist and dedicated BKSF helpline member, as he prepares to return to India after concluding his expatriate life in the Kingdom.
The event, held at the K City Business Centre in Manama, brought together numerous community leaders and social workers. Chaired by BKSF Patron Basheer Ambalayi, the gathering was inaugurated by Subair Kannur.
To honor his contributions, BKSF Convener Haris Pazhayangadi, Najeeb Kadalayi, and helpline team members presented Deepak with a traditional ceremonial shawl (ponnada) and a commemorative memento.
Several community figures delivered felicitations, praising his artistic talent and dedicated community service, including Francis Kaitharath, Nizar Kollam, Sayyid Ramadan Nadwi, O.K. Kasim, Rafeeq Abdulla, Fazal Haque, Jamal Iringal, Shaji Muthuthala, Abdul Majeed Thanal, Moideenkutty Pulikkal, J.P.K. Thikkodi, Moideen Payyoli, Sharafudheen, Anwar Nilambur, Jacob Thekkethode, Hussain Wayanad, Ajith, Ramshad Ayilakkad, Nawas Kundara, Mansheer Kondotty, Dr. Sreejith, Arif Porkulam, Shahajahan Karuvannur, and Rajeevan T.C.
Kasim Padathakayil delivered the welcome address, while Najeeb Kadalayi extended the vote of thanks. Executive leaders Anwar Sooranad, Rashid Kannangot, Ranjith Koothuparamba, Manikuttan, Nubin Alappuzha, Manoj Vadakara, Noushad Poonoor, Qais, Najeeb Kannur, Shemeer Kollam, Moosakutty Haji, Siddique P.V., Freedom Zubeir, and Faisal Pattandi coordinated the event.
Expressing his gratitude, Deepak Thanal pledged to continue supporting the forum’s charitable initiatives and announced that he will act as a BKSF coordinator from Kerala.
