By MANAMA: Lieutenant General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, held a high-level meeting on Thursday morning with His Excellency Ambassador Andrea Catalano, the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting, also attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Police, focused on the deep-rooted ties between the two nations. The Minister praised the distinguished relations currently shared by Bahrain and Italy, particularly within the specialized field of police work.
A primary focus of the discussion was the strategic importance of expanding bilateral security programs. Both officials explored avenues for strengthening the exchange of expertise and professional knowledge to further modernize security operations and joint initiatives.
In addition to bilateral cooperation, the Minister and the Ambassador reviewed current regional and international developments. They specifically addressed the ongoing events within the Middle East, emphasizing the need for continued coordination amidst the shifting regional security landscape.
