MANAMA: The Bahrain Basketball Federation (BBF) has officially renewed its strategic partnership with Zain Bahrain, extending one of the Kingdom’s most enduring sports collaborations. The new agreement spans three seasons, including the current one, solidifying a relationship that began in 2008.
As the longest-running sports sponsorship in Bahrain, this partnership aims to further develop the local basketball scene, enhance regional presence, and drive community-focused initiatives.
Eng. Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the BBF, described the renewal as a major milestone. “We are proud of this long-standing partnership which has directly supported the progress of Bahraini basketball. Zain Bahrain remains a model for successful sports sponsorship and social responsibility,” he stated.
Mr. Mohammed Zain Al-Abidin, Managing Director of Zain Bahrain, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to national sports. “Investing in sports is a key part of our social role. We have full confidence in the Federation’s vision for discovering talent and professionalizing the game,” he added.
The renewal aligns with the BBF’s strategy to build sustainable partnerships that elevate the sport to international standards, while maintaining Zain Bahrain’s position as a premier supporter of the Kingdom’s athletic sector.
