MANAMA, BAHRAIN — The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) officially launched its annual Onam celebrations, titled ‘Sravanam 2026,’ on Friday with a ceremonial flag hoisting at the Samajam’s Diamond Jubilee Hall in Segaiya.
BKS President P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai unfurled the ceremonial flag, marking the formal commencement of the weeks-long cultural festival.
The launch event featured a traditional Panchari/Pandi Melam performance by the Sopanam Vaadya Kala Sangham, alongside a group song presentation by members of the BKS Music Club.
Organizers announced that the festival will span across August and September, featuring a wide array of cultural programs, traditional competitions, and performances by prominent visiting artists from India.
