MANAMA: Ambassador Gines D. Gallaga, alongside officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Bahrain and representatives from various Filipino community groups, actively participated in the 13th Annual ‘Kids are Gold’ Walkathon, a global campaign dedicated to raising childhood cancer awareness.
The embassy’s participation underscored the Filipino community’s solidarity with international health initiatives and its commitment to supporting young cancer patients and their families in the Kingdom. The annual walkathon gathers diplomatic missions, local organizations, and community leaders to advocate for early detection, honor the resilience of pediatric patients, and extend vital support.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Gallaga commended the organizers and volunteers for their dedication to advancing pediatric health awareness and fostering a compassionate support network across Bahrain.
