MANAMA: Showcasing the unity and strong social commitment of Bahrain’s expatriate community, the Palakkad Arts and Cultural Trust (PACT) successfully hosted its annual gathering, “Samagam 2026,” in Kerala. The event brought together Bahrain-based members, non-resident families, and key community leaders to celebrate two decades of service and cultural connection.
Palakkad Member of Parliament V. K. Sreekandan attended as the chief guest. Other notable dignitaries included Palakkad Municipality Vice Chairperson Baby, Eram Group Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Siddeek Ahmed, and PACT founding member Dr. Mohan Menon.
Marking PACT’s 20th anniversary, the Bahrain organization reinforced its commitment to charitable initiatives by supporting underprivileged kidney patients. Financial assistance of ₹50,000 each was handed over during the event to three healthcare facilities: the Palakkad Municipality Dialysis Initiative, the C.H. Trust in Mannarkad, and the Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Centre in Vadakkanthara.
The evening featured cultural performances by playback singer and actor Pranavam Sashi, the Chittur Pattugramam musical troupe, and children of Bahrain-based PACT members. The gathering concluded with a pledge from the leadership to further expand PACT’s social and charitable initiatives in both Bahrain and India.
