Manama: The Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) has officially announced the launch of the 26th edition of its annual mega cultural festival, “KCA-BFC The Indian Talent Scan 2026” (ITS). Designed to foster artistic, literary, and creative excellence among Indian students residing in Bahrain, the competitions are scheduled to run from the third week of October through the first week of December.
KCA President Mr. James John announced the high-level organizing committee led by Mr. Leo Joseph as Chairman, alongside Chief Coordinator Mrs. Simi Leo, Vice Chairman Mr. Joshy Vithayathil, and Vice Chairpersons Mrs. Simi Asok and Mrs. Pretty Roy.
ITS Chairman Mr. Leo Joseph noted that online registrations opened on September 17 and will close on October 8. Categorized into five age groups, the talent hunt features more than 180 individual contests and numerous group events across six major categories: Natya Ratna (Dance), Sangeet Ratna (Music), Kala Ratna (Arts & Crafts), Sahitya Ratna (Literary), Add-On Events, and Team Events. Participants can enter up to 12 individual events and an unlimited number of group competitions.
Major honors to be awarded include the prestigious Kalathilakam and Kalaprathibha Ever-Rolling Trophies, Group Championship Trophies, as well as awards for Best Dance Teacher, Best Music Teacher, and participating schools.
